THE INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES EX-SERVICEMEN RALLY AT BINNAGURI ON 10 APRIL 2022.

An Ex-Servicemen Rally was organised at Binnaguri Military Station on 10 Apr 2022 under the aegis of Trishakti Corps.  Besides strengthening the traditional bonds and solidarity amongst serving personnel and veterans in general, it provided a platform to voice concerns on various policies, grievances and pension anomalies affecting the veterans.

A large number of pending grievances and documentation related issues of the Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris were addressed and action was initiated for follow up action, in close coordination with Zila Sainik Board and State Administration. 
A total of 6000 Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, Widows, Next of Kin and families from three districts of Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar and Alipurduar of West Bengal attended the rally. 
To honour their services to the Nation, Shri John Barla, Hon'ble Minister of State for Minority affairs & MP, Alipurduar  the Chief Guest and Dr.Jayanta Kumar Roy, Hon' ble MP Jalpaiguri the Guest of Honour, interacted and felicitated all the Ex- servicemen. 
​Lt Gen Tarun Kumar Aich, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Trishakti Corps  felicitated the Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris and reassured them that the welfare and well being of the Ex-Servicemen remains the prime concern of the IA. The representatives from Zila Sainik Boards of Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar districts and ECHS Cell attended the rally and carried out on the spot registration and resolution of grievances of ESM with Kendriya Sainik Board and Directorate of Indian Army Veterans. Various kiosks were established by Banks, Insurance agencies, Land Revenue Department, Record Offices, Zila Sainik Board and a medical camp was also organised to cater for the medical supervision and assistance of the Veterans and Veer Naris.
