VALEDICTORY FUNCTION OF 214 PILOT COURSE HELD AT AIR FORCE STATION KALAIKUNDA

Air Force Station Kalaikunda witnessed the valedictory function of the prestigious 214 Pilot Course on 24 January 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, who visited the station as the Chief Guest.

The event marked the successful culmination of an intensive and demanding phase of training for young fighter pilots of the Indian Air Force. During the ceremony, Air Marshal Surat Singh awarded trophies to pilots who displayed exceptional professional competence, dedication, and flying skills during the course. He congratulated all graduating officers on their successful completion of training and conveyed his confidence in their ability to shoulder future operational responsibilities. The pilots of the 214 Pilot Course will now be deployed across various frontline fighter bases of the Indian Air Force, strengthening its operational preparedness.
Addressing the gathering, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief commended the Commanding Officers, instructors, and support staff for their professionalism, commitment, and unwavering standards in training. He acknowledged their pivotal role in shaping young officers into capable and combat-ready fighter pilots.
In his address to the graduating pilots, Air Marshal Surat Singh exhorted them to carry forward the invaluable experiences gained during training and apply them throughout their operational careers. He emphasised the importance of maintaining the highest standards of mental and physical discipline, situational awareness, and professional excellence in all circumstances. The Chief Guest reminded the young officers to uphold the rich traditions, ethos, and legacy of the Indian Air Force.



Reiterating the core values of the service, he stressed that ‘Mission, Integrity and Excellence’ must remain the guiding principles of every officer in uniform. The valedictory function concluded on a solemn and inspiring note, reflecting the Indian Air Force’s continued commitment to nurturing professional excellence and safeguarding the nation’s airspace with dedication and honour.
