Army Institute of management Kolkata celebrates its Silver Jubilee this year having being established in 1997 at Alipore, The venue was graced by the presence of, GOC-in-C Eastern Command LT. GEN RANA PRATAP KALITA (YUSM, AVSM, SM, VSM), Chief of Staff Eastern Command LT. GEN KK REPSWAL (SM, VSM), Vice Chancellor of Makaut DR. SAIKAT MAITRA, 

MD of TATA STEEL downstream products Limited Kolkata A BRAHAM G. STEPHANOS and NKDA chairman Shri DEBASHIS SEN (IAS) and other dignitaries from the world of industry and academia.

Solemn ceremony was organized at the Newtown Campus in Hallowed Tagore auditorium with the blessings of almighty. The director, Maj Gen V.S Ranade welcomed the esteemed guests to the function. An audio-visual depiction of the 

25 years of journey was shown, that highlighted the milestones of this institute. 

A cultural performance filled with zest and fervour followed the video, wherein the students of AIM-K very beautifully depicted the confluence of different cultures that represents the essence of the Institute itself. 

The occasion of completion of 25 glorious years not only commemorates the contribution of meritorious service to education but also hold within itself a promise of further enhancing the quality of education in terms of technology.

Curtain Raiser The year 1994 marks a milestone in the history of AWES. Late Gen BC Joshi, then 

COAS took a bold and far reaching decision to venture into professional education. One of the branches of this idea tree was the enunciation of the establishment of Army Institute of Management kolkata on 28th July 1997, 

under the aegis of AWES.

The Institute's MBA programme has been approved by the All India council for 

Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal.

It has been a journey of 25 years. A journey that encompasses absolute reverence and tribute to the principles of the organisation this institute 

represents, "the Indian Army

This Institute carries a comprehensive alumni base. Their alumni have excelled in various fields both nationally and internationally. The institute has had the honour of educating braveheart late Lt Navdeep Singh Bains, Ashok chakra, from 

Batch MBA-11. His supreme sacrifice inspires us, as we remember him for his exceptional courage and indomitable spirit.

To commemorate the quandranscentennial anniversary of the Institute, there'll be a grandiose celebration being planned on 19th sept. 2022 in the august presence of dignitaries from the Army education and corporate sector.
