Trishakti Corps was raised on 10 May 1960 at Shillong and moved to its present location in 1962.  True to its motto ‘AADI ANANT AJEYA’, the Corps proved its mettle in Liberation of Goa in 1961, the 1967 clashes of Natu La & Cho La in Sikkim, Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 and OP JUNIPER in 2017.  The historic battles of Bogra and Hilli which lead to the surrender of Pakistan’s 16 Infantry Division in 1971 are testimony to its heroic success.  Presently,      the Trishakti Corps keeps constant vigil of the Border areas and is well prepared for operations in the continuing OP SNOW LEOPARD deployment.
The Corps, in addition to its deployment on borders, has provided invaluable assistance to civil administration during natural calamities and disasters.   The General Officer Commanding in his message “exhorted all ranks to safeguard national integrity and to remain operationally ready to take on any challenges in future”.

The Corps Commander complimented all ranks on their high degree of commitment, alertness and professionalism.
