MOUNTAINEERING EXPEDITION TO MT. GORICHEN FLAGGED OFF FROM LIKABALI
Likabali, Arunachal Pradesh – On 20 August 2025, the Indian Army’s Spear Corps flagged off a Mountaineering Expedition to Mt. Gorichen (6,488 m), the highest scalable peak of Arunachal Pradesh. Majestically rising in the Eastern Himalayas, Mt. Gorichen stands as a towering symbol of endurance, resilience, and adventure.
A motivated team of Indian Army soldiers has embarked on this formidable mission, which will be conducted from 20 August to 01 October 2025. The expedition is designed to test physical and mental limits, foster teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of adventure.
Through this endeavour, the Indian Army seeks to inspire the youth of Arunachal Pradesh towards embracing challenges, cultivating discipline, and nurturing national pride. Such initiatives also reaffirm the Army’s deep connect with the people of Arunachal Pradesh while upholding its timeless ethos of courage, commitment, and service to the Nation.
