Sea Vigil Exercise in Odisha

The third edition of the two day long Coastal Defence Exercise ‘Sea Vigil-22’ was conducted along the coastline of the State of Odisha from 15 to 16 Nov 2022  under the aegis of Cmde NP Pradeep, Naval Officer In-charge (Odisha).  The exercise involved deployment of the coastal security apparatus including Surface and Air assets of Indian Navy (IN) alongwith coordinated joint patrols/ exercises between IN and  various state coastal security agencies like the Marine Police, Coast Guard, Forest Department, Customs, Fisheries, Paradip Port Trust, CISF, Immigration, State Police, Special Operations Group (SOG), DRDO and over 13 central and state organisations.   As a maiden initiative by the Indian Navy, Sainik School and NCC Cadets also actively participated in the security exercise by assisting other coastal security agencies in safeguarding the coastline of Odisha.
