ALL INIDIA IPSC U-17 & U-19 VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2022-23KICKS OFF AT SAINIK SCHOOL GOALPARA.

Indian Public Schools' Conference, formed in 1939 is known for its glorious traditions and presently it has 79 member schools including Sainik Schools and Military Schools.

All India IPSC (Indian Public Schools’ Conference) Volleyball Championship 2022-23 began at Sainik School Goalpara on 28 Dec 22. Col YS Parmar, SM graced the openingceremony as the Chief Guest. Cdr Naresh Singh Chauhan, Vice Principal of the school read the welcome address. A spectacular march past by the participating teams was followed by the oath taking ceremony for players and officials. The Chief Guest in his speech wished good luck to all the teams and urged them to play with true competitive zeal and at the same time advised them to make some new friends during this championship. Traditional Bihu dance presented by Singra Palahpara Hussori Bihu Dal, Kamrup mesmerized the spectators and made the event very special. 
A total of 06 schools from various parts of the country are taking part in the National level tournament and there are 05 teams in U-17 and 04 teams in U-19.The matches are being played as per the SGFI rules and officials are from the Assam Volleyball Association.The participating schools are Birla Public School, Pilani (Rajasthan), Sainik School Kunjpura (Haryana), DPS Mathura Road (Delhi), The Emerald Heights International School, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), The Assam Valley School, Tezpur (Assam) and Sainik School Goalpara, the host school. The opening match in U-19 category was played between Birla Public School Pilani and The Emerald Heights International School and won by BPS Pilani with a score of 2 - 0. In U-17, the match was  played between Sainik School Goalpara and Sainik School Kunjpura and was won by SS Kunjpura with a score of 2-0. The Closing ceremony of the Championship will be held on 30 Dec 22.
