The Governor held a high-level meeting at Uttarkanya in Siliguri regarding disaster preparedness for the upcoming monsoon season

The Inspector General, SSB, Frontier Siliguri attended a high-level meeting on disaster preparedness for the forthcoming monsoon season, chaired by His Excellency the  Governor of West Bengal Sh R N Ravi at NBDD, Uttarkanya.

The meeting brought together senior representatives from the Army, BSF, State Police, District Administration, Irrigation Department, and other civil agencies to review the Disaster Preparedness in North Bengal to strengthen inter-agency coordination for effective disaster response.

During the meeting, the Inspector General highlighted the preparedness of SSB, emphasizing its operational readiness, trained manpower, rescue and relief capabilities and commitment to working in close coordination with all stakeholders to ensure timely assistance and safeguard lives and property during any disaster.

SSB remains committed to serving the nation with dedication and remain prepared 24x7 to respond swiftly and effectively during the upcoming monsoon season.
