EASTERN COMMAND CONDUCTS SPECIAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME ON SPARSH AT FORT WILLIAM, KOLKATA

A special outreach seminar cum interaction on SPARSH (System for pension administration Raksha) was held at Fort William, Kolkata and almost all major formations of Indian Army across West Bengal and Sikkim on 23 June 2022. A team from Controller General of Defence Accounts, Prayagraj conducted the seminar cum interaction session with serving officers, personnel, Ex servicemen, their dependents and Civil Defence Employees. 275 serving and retired personnel, dependents and Civil Defence Employees were present physically at Kolkata who had come from all over from North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hoogly, Barrackpore, Kankinara, kanchrapara ,Nadia and Murshidabad. 06 more military stations i.e Sukna, Binnaguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Bengdubi and Gangtok joined the seminar through video conference.

A large Number of issues of veterans related to SPARSH, entitlements,anomalies and migration of pension to SPARSH was explained and discussed in detail.

The event has been well appreciated by the Veterans as it is for the first time that a seminar on SPARSH has been conducted. It was attended by more than 1500 serving personnel, Veterans, dependents and Civil Defence Employees across West Bengal and Sikkim. They went satisfied from the seminar as their grievances were addressed adequately.
