TRISHAKTI CORPS MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION TEAM REACHES GANGTOK.

Trishakti Motorcycle expedition team of the prestigious Trishakti Corps of Indian Army reached Gangtok on 17 June 2022 & interacted with Shri Ganga Prasad, Governor of Sikkim. The Governor complimented the team for successful completion of first half of the expedition. He also appreciated army’s commitment towards sustainable development of border areas and showcasing vast opportunities for tourism in Sikkim. The expedition was flagged off from Sukna in West Bengal on 15 June 22 & travelled along National Highway-10 & Old Silk Route, having covered 300 km through difficult hilly terrain.
The joint expedition is being led by Major General Arvind Yadav, Chief of Staff Trishakti Corps & 18 Riders from Indian Army, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Sashatra Seema Bal, Sikkim Police, Sikkim Forest Department & Sikkim Tourism Department. The expedition is part of ‘Trishakti Shaurya Mahotsav’, being organised in celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ & carries the message – “Soldiers & Citizens – Together towards Strength & Prosperity”.

The expedition will be flagged off from Gangtok on 18 June 2022 for its remaining portion by General Officer Commanding Black Cat Division. The team will then ride to Chumathang, Gurudongmar lake & cross the Dongkya La pass before culminating at Lachung on 20 June 2022.
