Lieutenant General RC Tiwari Calls on Hon’ble Governor and Chief Minister of Assam.

Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, accompanied by Lieutenant General Sanjay Malik, SM, General Officer Commanding, 101 Area, and Major General RD Sharma, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, on 12 June 2025.

The interactions highlighted the importance of fostering military-civil cooperation to strengthen the foundation of peace and development in Assam. Discussions revolved around enhancing synergy with the civil administration, undertaking welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen, and reinforcing collaborative efforts to maintain tranquility and progress in the region.
