Four Mini Patient Buses were handed over by the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Kolkata to Rajya Sainik Board (West Bengal).
In an impressive ceremony held at INS Netaji Subhas on 12 Aug 26, four Mini Patient Buses were handed over by the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Kolkata, facilitated by the Indian Navy, to the Rajya Sainik Board (West Bengal). These Mini Patient Buses have been funded under the SMPKs Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The handing over ceremony was attended by the officials from SMPK, Indian Navy, Rajya Sainik Board (West Bengal) and the Zila Sainik Boards. Speaking at the event, Shri Rathendra Raman, the Chairperson of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority emphasised the SMPKs commitment towards community welfare.
Commodore Ajay Yadav, the Naval Officer-in-Charge (West Bengal) thanked SMPK for the gesture which reaffirms the commitment of the Indian Navy and SMPK to stand shoulder-to-shoulder towards our national interests. He said that the Mini Patient Buses would be gainfully utilised by the Rajya Sainik Board (West Bengal) towards the welfare and service of approx. 1,31,000 Veterans and Veer Naris of the Armed Forces across the State.
