The day of Rakhi Purnima, schoolgirls tied Rakhis on the wrists of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans

On Thursday, the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, schoolgirls, members of Durga Vahini, and sisters from border areas tied Rakhis on the wrists of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans. This event was organized at the SSB's Siliguri Frontier to ensure that the jawans did not miss their own sisters while away from home on this special day.

The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to spend the day with the country's border guards at this event. Law students from Kalimpong were deeply moved as they tied *rakhis* onto the wrists of those who prioritize the nation above their own families. Carrying trays meticulously arranged with prayer offerings, *diyas* (lamps), sweets, and *rakhis*, the students celebrated the occasion with the SSB *jawans*.

On August 27, a Rakhi Bandhan ceremony was organized under the supervision of Shri Bandan Saxena, Inspector General of the Siliguri Frontier.

Students, teachers, and distinguished guests from various organizations and schools participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The students (sisters) tied *Rakhis* on the wrists of SSB officers and personnel, spreading a message of the unbreakable bond of love, affection, and trust shared between brothers and sisters. Additionally, the participants presented captivating cultural performances conveying messages of brotherhood, unity, and harmony.
